INQUIRY & NONFICTION

designing classrooms where curiosity leads the way
Reflections on Autonomy and Inquiry

Prisms of Inquiry is a six-spectrum framework that helps educators shift learning from teacher-led instruction to student-directed inquiry. The model provides a clear, scalable pathway for increasing student ownership while preserving academic rigor.
Developed from the foundations of Tangents, a memoir reflecting on a decade in education, the Prisms of Inquiry are grounded in classroom practice, research, and philosophical reflection on how students learn best.

I Hate Graduations
A Graduation Speech
In 2022, the day I announced I was leaving the classroom, the class of 2023 asked me to return the following year to speak at their graduation.
I was humbled that despite my departure, they were requesting one last lecture.
This is that speech that provides a better preface to TANGENTS than any other I have written.

In episodes on leaving the classroom, teaching students to question authority, and rethinking school culture, he began shaping the stories and arguments that now underpin Tangents, Prisms of Inquiry, and the rationale for The Moirae.
